Hi friends, I'm Birdie.

 

I'm so glad you stumbled upon my little corner of the internet. First things first - NO, Birdie is not my given name. It's Britney, but everyone calls me Birdie - I know you were dying to ask.


Now that we've got that out of the way we can get down to the nitty gritty.


I like to call myself a storyteller. I'm someone who is unapologetically documenting life. I'm the friend everyone makes fun of for always having my phone out taking pictures and videos. I specialize in intimate portraits and human connections. I'm a firm believer in breaking the rules and letting my heart guide me through all. I shoot what it feels like - not what it looks like. I just love to capture STORIES & EMOTIONS in their purest form - big   and small. All I want is to capture this very detail, this moment, this story that you're creating together that will matter to you later in your life. And I'm a mother who gets it. Like you, I'm so wrapped up with my day-to-day wild happenings, too busy to stop and breathe sometimes. Being in the business of reminding others to slow down and be present serves as a wonderful reminder for me, too. Parenthood is the most challenging, transformative, and most rewarding job on this planet. Let's get you in front of the camera already!

I have had Birdie photograph my family on multiple occasions and each time she has delivered pictures that were far beyond my expectations. She exudes joy, acceptance, and compassion from behind the lens.  Birdie is able to photograph you in the way you have always wanted to be seen. I don’t know how she does it, but she is able to portray the deepest, darkest and most beautiful parts of you. The entire session is comfortable from beginning to end because of her warm, fun personality. She is adventurous and willing to go to extremes to capture the best and most unique portraits. Birdie/Britney/Birdwoman - Three different names for three different personalities. Birdie is sweet, kind and spunky. Britney is efficient, approachable, professional. Birdwoman, while she is professional she  is free-spirited , while also a bit cuckoo about her work! We loved working with Britney for a part of our wedding team! Absolutely amazing experience! Then Birdwoman did our engagement photos and she was a little sassy, but still on schedule and did amazing portraits. Birdie we know on a more personal level.
