I do not think I'm easy to define. I have a wandering mind. And I'm not anything that you think I am. I'm doing what I was created to do.
I'm going to make everything around me beautiful- that will be my life.
I'm an opinion-haver, belly laugher, life-liver, truth-giver. More importantly, I'm a nurturer of memories and moments, chaser of light and emotive storyteller. I call Central Wisconsin home, but my camera sure loves to travel. My heart is big and I absolutely love capturing stories of the free-spirited. I'm not interested in rules or conventions. Photography is not a sport. I'm a believer in the details, in what makes people who they are. I'm drawn to the dramatic and emotive ways we connect with each other and our surroundings. My heart is in the story of connections - whether it be with those we love or ourselves.
I'm what you might call a deep feeler.

I embrace the weird, the subtleties, and the easily overlooked. I'm attracted to people who have a story. Real stories of redemption; once broken, but successfully made it through and are better for it. People like this appeal to me because this is my own story. I was once a terribly broken human being. Someone who was lost and stumbling their way through hard lessons. I'm also incredibly silly, inappropriate, and warmhearted. It is why I feel deeply, love with every fiber in my being, and am out-of-this-world understanding and compassionate. I know people before even knowing them. It's my super power: to know you, see you, and love you.
Capturing Memories
My Process
I'm not everyone's photographer, and that's completely fine. I don't shoot what it looks like. I shoot what it feels like. This will be unlike any portrait experience you've had. Even dads and kids usually have fun in our time together! My sole goal as a photographer is to give you images that act as a dwelling place, a complete haven of comfort and confidence . A place that you can go to whenever you need to be reminded of who you are and whenever you want to be reminded of how you felt in that exact moment - being the truest version of yourself.
An emotive storytelling session with me is wholly focused on taking the time to slow down and really appreciate long embraces, the art of discovery and subtleties of affection. During our session we intentionally take time to say the words we don't always stop to say that can bring out the best and brightest in those we love. These sessions are not your typical portrait session. We rarely stop to say cheeeeese! It is my desire to create photographs that do more than service as proof that you existed. I want to show that you lived passionately and love madly.
